I've also tried to buy things organically. It's a little difficult with money and stuff, but I'm taking it a step at a time. Definitely give this book a read/listen. I loved it. It's pretty no-nonsense. Here's on of my favorite parts:
Aspartame (an ingredient commonly found in diet sodas and other sugar-free foods) has been blamed for a slew of scary maladies, like arthritis, birth defects, fibromyalgia, Alzheimer's, lupus, multiple sclerosis, and diabetes. When methyl alcohol, a component of aspartame, enters your body, it turns into formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is toxic and carcinogenic (cancer-causing). Laboratory scientists use formaldehyde as a disinfectant or preservative. They don't fucking drink it. Perhaps you have a lumpy ass because you are preserving your fat cells with diet soda.
So as you may or may not know, i bought Josh a PSP for his birthday (a really cool red one with some war guy on the back). anyway, I read about this game called Patapon and for $19.99 I thought i should try it.
not much has been going on besides me working. i was put up at the hotel last night because of Tropical Storm Hanna which didn't turn into much. some wind and rain and that was about it. But i guess we're supposed to be keeping an eye on Hurrican Ike so we'll see what happens.
I'll be joining a gym this week, too. really. and i really need to get some new work shoes, maybe the work shoes Skechers makes. any recommendations?

What's the best gift you received this year?
i received a gorgeous hot pink robe that comes down to my ankles from bath and body works which is the comfiest, squooshiest softest robe IN THE WORLD. but i think he topped it with 1/4 carat white gold diamond earrings. they're gorgeous and sparkly. i've never had diamonds before in my life, i didn't know what i was missing. they're so bright and shiny. Josh even did it up real cute. we were sitting on the couch after we had unwrapped everything and he's like "we did a good job with our tree... but that red bulb in the middle looks kind of off..." and i looked and there's a small gold box with a gold bow on it tucked into the tree. so cute.
Alan never gave me diamonds and we were together nearly 3 years... Josh and i have been together not even 3 months! he's a keeper. ;)
