How do you take your tea or coffee?

it depends on what kind of tea i'm drinking, and what mood i'm in. if i'm drinking Chai, i take 2 spoons of sugar and a spoon of clover honey. regular tea, i've been taking either 2 spoons of tea and 6 drops of lemon juice plus a splash of milk, or a few spoons of sugar some milk and possibly some honey (when i go to port city java and get a primo tea). at home/work i drink regular lipton, and at PCJ, i drink their breakfast blend tea. the earl grey tastes like froot loops to me.
so i'm getting super stressed out. the day before yesterday, i went out to get Paula's gift and was just getting more and more annoyed by the second. first, nowhere in the mall carried any biking equipment aside from helmets. we went to like 3 department stores. so then i went to Bath and Body Works to pick up something there while Alan waited outside, and when i FINALLY found something, the line was like a million years long, so we left with nothing. it super sucked.
oh, but yesterday i picked up the Stitch 'N Bitch desk calendar (it was the last one) and The Truth About Diamonds by Nicole Richie. i've been scoffing at this book for awhile, but i figured, what the hell. i'll give it a shot.
today's my last day at work before we go home. i have so much shit to do. i need to put a box together of the stuff i don't want or am never gonna use to give to my sisters, i have to clean this apartment, clean out the car... ugh.
okay, i'm finally gonna do it. someone from One Tree Hill called me and left a voicemail on the cell phone (i was working) asking if i was available for extra work this monday. so i called back and said yes. i'm FINALLY gonna do what i've said i need to do for the last 9 months. lol. i'm surprised they called. when i went in and filled out a card when i first moved here, they said the best thing to do is to call on sunday and see if they have any openings during the week, that they never call anyone because there's boxes and boxes of cards. *shrugs* i'm excited, though.
she said it's a scene in "the highschool" at the studios. i can't wait! plus, it'll pay better than a day at the pilot house will, so extra money for when we leave next saturday.
more details friday when i call back.
today is Alan and I's 2 year anniversary. we can't afford to do much, but i figured we could go out to eat. i bought him a new york style cheesecake, though. hopefully he likes it. i bought myself this:
it's an ipod case. i didn't buy it for our anniversary or anything, but it was cute and relatively cheap, so i snagged it. like $13 from a seller on etsy. and then i bought tickets to Airlie Gardens' Enchanted Airlie which is a huge Christmas Lights display for tomorrow at 7. they have hot chocolate and live music and stuff, so it should be fun. i'll definitely be taking pictures.
:) i <3 him.
WOW, i'm beat. i'm all congested and every muscle hurts and i'll get to why in a second. let's start with yesterday.
Alan has wanted a Nintendo Wii since... i think around the middle of summer (they launched this past sunday). so we decided we were going to go to Best Buy and stand in line around 3 a.m., as the store opened at 5. i was looking around at their site online and they had a toshiba laptop for $250! i was kind of like "oh hey, look, that'll be nice for people" and he jumps out with "wanna get one!?" i've wanted a laptop LITERALLY since i was like 12-13 and could never afford one. so we agreed that we would get one of those, too. this is around 7:30 p.m. all of the sudden he goes "you wanna go now?" which was almost funny. yeah right, i thought, no one's gonna be in line. so we decided we'd just drive past there and see how many people were in line. we weren't really expecting anything. i almost didn't bring my winter coat. i grabbed my hat as an afterthought.
so we drive out there (about 20 minute drive) and we're driving up to the access road (we're on the street that's parallel to the front of the store), and there is a line from the door to the right hand corner of the building. we were FLOORED, seriously. one of the guys up front was taking names down on a list so no one got screwed when it came time to give out tickets for big items at 4 am. the first guy there had (i heard) gotten there at 10 THAT MORNING. so alan went and put our names on the list, we were number 51 and 52. and 8 pm. yeeeeah. it was FUCKING COLD. probably about 40 degrees. we didn't really think we were staying, we had winter coats and hats, these people had tents and lawn chairs and, more importantly, blankets. we basically got community help, we pretty much hung out all night with a guy about 30 and his dad from New York, and then a lady about my mom's age. well, someone was going to sleep in their tent, so she gave Alan her lawn chair. i mostly sat on the bench that was right in our line, the guys had the dad's mom come and bring them blankets, soup, and hot chocolate, so they gave me the blanket they had had in their car, and the lady gave alan a couple of blankets.
our asses were out in the cold in front of best buy for 7 hours before they gave out tickets. NOW. the reason the guy at the front of the line took a list was so people couldn't come and get there a 1/2 hour before and get one of the things people have been waiting literally over night for. so he spoke to a couple of the workers and they were completely for it. then this fucking kid comes out, and people start crowding and he's just handing them to anyone who pushes their hand up to him. you have to be a certain kind of person to not get frazzled in order to hand out those things. i'm not that kind of person, and i know this. i would have done the same thing this kid did, but i wouldn't do it. they need someone with a strong assertive personality to say "NO, get back in line or you're not getting one". so a lot of people got screwed. me and one of the guys from new york went up, because no one seemed to be paying attention to the line anymore and he asked about the toshibas and he said that they were all out, and he goes "well then i want one of the HP's for $379." and the guy lifted up a paper and there were tickets in plastic, so i jump in "i want one too, please." and he gave me the last one.
we went to 2 other game stores and no one had any Wii's, but the one store gave him an email address (the guy was the district manager) and said he should have it before Christmas. it wasn't on sale or anything, so it's all good. i also went back to circuit city and got a backpack thing to hold it in (it was about $20, cheapest one), a cable to hook it up to the internet and headphones. OH, and it already has a wireless card. port city java and starbucks (including barnes & noble) all have free wireless. yay! :)
but yeah, i feel like i've been hit by a truck.
