What's the best gift you received this year?
i received a gorgeous hot pink robe that comes down to my ankles from bath and body works which is the comfiest, squooshiest softest robe IN THE WORLD. but i think he topped it with 1/4 carat white gold diamond earrings. they're gorgeous and sparkly. i've never had diamonds before in my life, i didn't know what i was missing. they're so bright and shiny. Josh even did it up real cute. we were sitting on the couch after we had unwrapped everything and he's like "we did a good job with our tree... but that red bulb in the middle looks kind of off..." and i looked and there's a small gold box with a gold bow on it tucked into the tree. so cute.
Alan never gave me diamonds and we were together nearly 3 years... Josh and i have been together not even 3 months! he's a keeper. ;)
What was the one thing that you wanted badly that made you do something ridiculous?

this is definitely ridiculous to a lot of people, not so much to a lot of others. last year, there was a laptop on sale for $250 at best buy. i've wanted a laptop since i was about 12. we left the apartment around 8 p.m. on thanksgiving night (best buy opened at 5 a.m.) just to check out the line. there were about 50 people there already, so we joined the line and were there for 9 hours, plus another 2 hours waiting to get the computer. they ended up running out of the $250 laptops, but i got a voucher for a nicer one for $349. i don't regret it, but i won't do it again.

Where do you get recommendations for new books to read?
everywhere. sometimes, i don't have recommendations from anyone when i go to the bookstore so i walk around aimlessly looking for a good cover. or at barnes & noble, they usually have a table with new paperbacks and/or popular paperbacks, and i can usually find a book i want to read, kind of, that i've put off reading. but sometimes they review books in magazines and if they sound good, i'll read it.
Should driving while talking on a cell phone be outlawed?

no, but maybe it should be part of the driving test. or maybe a separate test. or maybe it should be a law that there should be a hands-free thing installed.
i dunno, i don't have a problem talking and driving. it's the same as having a passenger in the car to me.

i was in... 2nd grade, i think. and he was a year younger. lol. i think he was in my class (montessori, so 1-3 were all in one class, and then 4-6), but i don't even remember how it happened. i hardly remember the entire thing. i remember going to the skating rink with him. my mom drove me over to his house and he hid a cheap metal ring with my birthstone in the bottom of my rollerblade with a little note. aw, he was a little cutie. then we went to high school together and never talked and then after high school he tried to hit me up on myspace because i figured out makeup and how to do my hair and got cute 'n stuff. lol. he was nicer in 2nd grade, i think.
and also, he was my first "boyfriend", NOT my first crush. i think my first crush was in Kindergarten. maybe even head start. hell, maybe before that.
